Privacy Notice
Last updated: 2026-07-09
This Privacy Notice describes how Career Complete handles personal data for candidates and employers who use the skill-testing platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account details such as email address and optional name.
- Exam sessions, answers, scores, and feedback you submit.
- Career preferences and job search settings you choose to store.
- Accommodation requests and supporting documentation where provided.
- Usage analytics such as approximate location, device information, and interactions with the app.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect webcam recordings, screen recordings, biometric templates, or covert proctoring media. We do not sell personal data to data brokers.
3. How we use information
- To run exams, calculate scores, and show you your history.
- To help employers and training partners understand candidate performance where you choose to share it.
- To monitor fairness and quality of the exam pool.
- To keep the service secure and detect abuse.
5. Data retention schedule
We keep each category of personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. The schedule below summarises how long the main categories are retained.
| Data category | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Account records (email and optional profile details) | Kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account closure. |
| Exam sessions, answers, scores, and verified results | Retained for up to 24 months after your most recent exam, then anonymised or deleted. |
| Accommodation requests and supporting documents | Kept for 12 months after the related exam, then deleted. |
| DSAR and deletion records (completion tombstones) | Retained for 30 days after completion, then permanently deleted. |
| Usage and security logs | Retained for up to 13 months, then deleted or anonymised. |
Where the law requires us to keep certain records for longer (for example, tax or dispute records), we keep only what that obligation requires and delete the rest.
6. Your data-subject rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights yourself from the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) centre — no letter or lawyer required:
- DSAR centre — See every request type in one place.
- Open a new request — Submit an access, correction, or restriction request.
- Export your data — Download a machine-readable copy of your personal data.
- Delete your account and data — Request erasure of your account and associated personal data.
- Track a request — Check the status of a request you already submitted.
We confirm and respond to verified requests within the timeframe your local law requires (for example, one month under the GDPR). If we cannot fulfil a request in full, we tell you why and what you can do next.
7. International data transfers
Career Complete is a global service, so your personal data may be processed in a country other than the one where you live. When personal data leaves the region where it was collected, the export is covered by an approved transfer basis rather than an ad-hoc copy:
- EU / EEA: the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
- United Kingdom: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the EU SCCs together with the UK Addendum.
- Switzerland: the EU SCCs with the Swiss addendum and the FADP references in place of the GDPR ones.
- Full data-transfers policy — Every subprocessor, processing region, and transfer mechanism.
Each transfer is paired with a transfer impact assessment and the technical and organisational safeguards described in our security documentation.
Equal opportunity and selection-safe use
Career Complete is an equal-opportunity technology provider. Employers remain responsible for using assessments in a way that is job-related, consistent with business necessity, and compliant with anti-discrimination and disability laws (for example, Title VII, EEOC guidance, ADA, GDPR, and similar local rules).
The Career Complete Index (CCI) and other scores are advisory analytics and must not be used as the sole basis for hiring, promotion, or adverse decisions. CCI is advisory analytics. Do not use it as the sole basis for hiring. Use with job-related, Verified results only, and keep a human in the loop.
Where local law treats automated employment decision tools (AEDTs) as regulated, employers are responsible for maintaining their own bias audits, notices, and records for any downstream tools they build on top of Career Complete results.
